峰倉かずやの人気コミックを元にしたミュージカル『最遊記歌劇伝』第5弾がDVD化!! 2015年9月サンシャイン劇場にて上演され、好評を博した『最遊記歌劇伝-Reload-』。ひとときも目が離せなかった舞台を余すところなく収録! ――牛魔王の息子・紅孩児は、蘇生実験を目論む義母・玉面公主から"三蔵一行の抹殺と魔天経文の強奪"を命じられていた。それに従えば、実母・羅刹女の呪縛を解くという。彼の心の迷い、弱さを見透かした、ある科学者により洗脳された紅孩児は、三蔵一行抹殺のため一人動き出す。一方、牛魔王蘇生実験を阻止すべく玄奘三蔵、孫悟空、沙悟浄、猪八戒の四人は西域・天竺国への旅を続けていた。旅の途中、川を渡れず家へ帰れなくなってしまった少年"坤"と出会う。坤を家族に会わせるため、彼等は川を渡る道を選ぶ。しかし、待っていたのは川から突如現れた無数の妖怪たちとの戦いであった。メイキング映像を収録(予定)したボーナスディスク付き。ブックレット封入(予定)。
