『リーサル・ウェポン』シリーズのダニー・グローヴァーがエグゼクティブ・プロデューサー&出演を務めた、日韓米合作の感動作!! ダニー・グローヴァーの長年の盟友、ベン・ギロリを主演に起用。ふたりは、スティーブン・スピルバーグ監督の『カラーパープル』以来、映画では23年ぶりに兄弟役として共演を果たす。また、日本からは高岡早紀や清水美沙をはじめ、misono、穂のか、白石美帆、山崎一ら、個性豊かな俳優たちが参加し、色彩あざやかな人間模様を織り成す。コロンビア大学大学院で映画を学んだ映像作家アロン・ウルフォークは、自らの長編映画デビュー作の舞台に、日本の高知県、とくにその田園や野山を選んだ。かつて英語教師として高知に暮らした経験を持つウルフォーク監督は、単純な「外国人から見た日本」ではなく、日本の美しさや人間の温かさを描き、国境を越える家族、自己発見の物語をみずみずしく表現。ひとりひとりに心の「橋」が架かる、胸を打つ物語が誕生した。――ダニエルは、愛する息子ミッキーを交通事故で失う。そしてミッキーが教師の傍ら、日本人の友人たちに絵画を譲っていたことを知ったダニエルは自分の手に取り戻そうと日本へ渡る。しかし、息子が予想外に高知の人々に愛されていた事実に戸惑う。ピクチャーレーベル仕様。
