The title of her album, "Spring Never Comes," was written by a Japanese soldier who was interned in Siberia after the Pacific War and spent a day waiting for the train to come back to Japan. Shigeo Sonoda, who continued to sing the song after his demobilization, taught it to Hirabayashi when he met him on his 80th birthday, and this is the first time it has been recorded and released to the world. 新規クラシックレーベル Lindenbaum始動バリトン歌手"平林 龍"CDデビュー!!平林龍=東京藝術大学声楽科卒業。パリ・エコールノルマル音楽院へ留学。日本フォーレ協会会員。つちうら混声合唱団、The Rotary Voicesの指揮・指導。第45回劇団四季オーディション合格。東宝ミュージカルアカデミーアドバンスコースに学ぶ。これまで意欲的にリサイタル等、演奏活動を行っており特にフランス音楽の理解と繁栄に力をいれている。また、音楽の素晴らしさを広めるため公民館や小中学校での公演、ホテルでのディナーショーなど企画からMC、演奏までプロデュースを行っている。音楽専門学校ヴォーカル科講師として勤務経験もあり、ヴォイス・トレーナーとしても活躍している。 アルバムタイトルにもなっている「春は来ぬ」は、太平洋戦争後に極寒のシベリアに抑留されていた日本兵が、帰国の列車が来るのを一日千秋の思いで過ごす中から生まれた曲。そして復員後も唄い続けていた園田重雄氏が80歳の傘寿を迎えた時に出会った平林に口伝えで教えた曲で、今回初の録音で世の中に出ることとなった。他平林が日頃お行なっているコンサートで好評を得ている曲を加え全7曲収録。
