[Machine Translation] Sky Records, an idealistic label founded by musicians themselves in search of free and beautiful music, was started in 1968 by three jazz musicians, Gary McFarland, Cal Jader, and Gabor Szabo. Only two years after its start, the label closed its doors. The utopia they envisioned was short-lived and ephemeral, but the works that remained on the label continue to shine brightly to this day. We have selected four representative works from the catalog. As the title suggests, this album contains an entire album of Burt Bacharach's masterpieces arranged in Cal Jader's style. 自由で美しい音楽を求めてミュージシャンが自ら設立した理想郷スカイ・レコードは1968年に、ゲイリー・マクファーランド、カル・ジェイダー、ガボール・ザボという3人のジャズ・ミュージシャンが共同でスタートさせたレーベルです。スタートからたった2年後にレーベルは閉鎖。彼らが思い描いた理想郷は短い間の儚いものでしたが、そこに残された作品群は現在でも多くの輝きを放ち続けています。そんなカタログの中から代表的な作品を4作ピックアップ。この作品はそのタイトル通り、バート・バカラックの名曲をカル・ジェイダー流のサウンドでアレンジし、アルバム丸ごと1枚に収めたアルバム。その躍動感溢れるパーカッシブなサウンドは、90年代以降、フリー・ソウル～レア・グルーブ・ブームをキッカケとして改めて評価された。ゲートフォールド・カバー仕様。レーベル内袋封入。
