COVERS [Limited Edition / Type B]

The 40th anniversary of Hideaki Tokunaga's major debut will be on January 21, 2026. On this memorable day, he will release his long-awaited new album titled "COVERS". A new series of cover albums, which can be called the essence of Hideaki Tokunaga, begins. This work is his first studio recording after moving to Nippon Columbia, and his first cover album in 11 years since the big hit series "VOCALIST 6". In "VOCALIST", Tokunaga built his original brand with the concept of faithfully covering masterpieces by female artists. In "COVERS", he selects works from a wide range of male and female artists and newly expresses the masterpieces he "wants to sing now" with heartfelt arrangements and vocals. Exactly 40 years have passed since the release of his debut song "Rainy Blue". Please look forward to the new sound completed at the end of this journey. Limited Edition B includes a live album CD: "Concert Tour 2024 ALL BEST 3" (complete version, approx. 97 min). The long-awaited CD release of the 2024 tour live, featuring 19 tracks (recorded at Kanagawa Kenmin Hall Main Hall on September 14, 2024).

徳永英明メジャーデビュー40周年となる2026年1月21日。この記念すべき日に待望のニューアルバムリリース! タイトルは『COVERS』(カヴァーズ)。徳永英明の真骨頂ともいえるカヴァーアルバムの新シリーズが始動。本作は日本コロムビアへ移籍後初となるスタジオレコーディング作品であり、大ヒットシリーズ「VOCALIST 6」以来、実に11年ぶりのカヴァーアルバムとなる。「VOCALIST」では女性アーティストの名曲を忠実にカヴァーするというコンセプトによりオリジナルブランドを築き上げた徳永英明。『COVERS』では男女問わず幅広いアーティストの作品をセレクトし、自身が"いま歌いたい"名曲たちを、渾身のアレンジと歌声で新たに表現する。デビュー曲「レイニー ブルー」を発表した日からちょうど40年。この軌跡の先に完成した新たな響きを、ぜひご期待ください。初回限定盤Bには、ライブアルバムCD: 「Concert Tour 2024 ALL BEST 3」(完全盤・約97分)付き。2024年に開催された同ツアーライブ、待望のCD化。全19曲 (2024.9.14神奈川県民ホール 大ホール)収録。
