18th Century Neapolitan Flute Sonatas

[Machine Translation] In the 18th century, Naples was home to many outstanding musicians. However, most of them have been swallowed up by history, and few of their names have survived to the present day. Cataldi, a flutist who studied in Bologna, is a scholar of 18th-century Neapolitan music and has devoted himself to the discovery and revival of works from this period, searching for and performing scores preserved in libraries around the country. The works on this album were written by such "forgotten composers" and have never been recorded before. These are all rare and precious works, and they bring back to life some of the most buried masterpieces of all time. World premiere recording. [Renata Cataldi (flauto traverso), Partenope Stravagante (ensemble), Leonardo Massa (cello), Deborah Capitanio (harpsichord)
