While a lot of effort has been put into the magnificently made booklet design (I saw this album featured on a Japanese compilation design annual mag) - a dazzling array of jazz can be found here. From the orchestraic swing influenced 'Birds Of Paradise', to the mellow but memorable 'Niji' continues Orange Pekoe's own eclectic and creative flairs back since their 1st album (Organic Plastic Machine). My favourites in Modern Lights remain in the unique African jazz fusion 'Yoake No Ota', and the thrilling formal electro-inspired 'Metro'. Overall, it's an album not to be missed by the most adventurous fans of O.P.
