ショーソン: 交響曲変ロ長調 & 詩曲 [Blu-spec CD] [完全限定生産] / シャルル・ミュンシュ (指揮)

ミュンシュ指揮のショーソンの交響曲は、パレー&デトロイト響などとは正反対の特質を持ち、LP期の決定盤として高く評価されていた。この作品の本質である豊かな色彩感と独特の抒情性を十全に表現し、ワーグナーの影響を受けたと言われるショーソンの情熱的な側面をも捉えた名演。ダンディの作品では、ボストン響の鮮やかな色彩感を生かして、胸のすくような爽快な解釈を披露している。オイストラフの艶のある美音は「詩曲」で健在。ショーソンとダンディのぞれぞれ唯一の交響曲をカップリング。ダンディの「フランス山人の歌による交響曲」は、当初ラヴェルのピアノ協奏曲とのカップリングで発売されたもので、ピアノを弾いているニコレ・アンリオ=シュヴァイツァーとはミュンシュは何度も共演を重ねている間柄。オイストラフの「詩曲」は、サン=サーンスの「序奏とロンド・カプリチオーソ」と同日に収録され、そのカップリングで発売された。当時の雪解けによって、ソ連の演奏家が徐々に西側に登場しはじめたころの文化的状況を背景にした歴史的な録音である。録音: 1962年2月26日(1)、1955年12月14日(2)[MONO]、1958年3月24日(3)、ボストン、シンフォニー・ホール
