Description

This coming-of-age film depicts the story 10 years after the immortal masterpiece "Whisper of the Heart (Mimi wo Sumaseba)," which was serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Ribbon" in 1989. Shizuku Tsukishima is played by Seina Kiyonai, and Seiji Amazawa is played by Tori Matsuzaka. Directed and written by hit maker Yuichiro Hirakawa. --Shizuku and Seiji are pursuing their respective dreams and vow to meet again. Time flies, and it is 1998. Shizuku continues to pursue her dream while working as a children's book editor at a publishing company, but things are not going as smoothly as she would like and she is struggling. Every time she felt like she might not make it, she thought of Seiji who was struggling in Italy, far away from her, to cheer herself up. On the other hand, it was not smooth sailing for Seiji either. He was confused and frustrated, but he also found support in Shizuku. 1989年に少女まんが雑誌『りぼん』で連載された不朽の名作『耳をすませば』の10年後の物語を描いた青春映画。大人になった月島雫を清野菜名が、天沢聖司を松坂桃李がW主演で演じる。監督・脚本はヒットメーカーの平川雄一朗。――それぞれの夢を追い掛け、また必ず会おうと誓い合った雫と聖司。時は流れ、1998年。雫は、児童書の編集者として出版社で働きながら夢を追い続けていたが、思うようにいかずもがいていた。もう駄目なのかも知れない――そんな気持ちが大きくなる度に、遠く離れたイタリアで奮闘する聖司を想い、自分を奮い立たせていた。一方の聖司も順風満帆ではなかった。戸惑い、もどかしい日々を送っていたが、聖司にとっての支えも同じく雫であった。ある日、雫は仕事で大きなミスをしてしまい、仕事か夢のどちらを取るか選択を迫られる。答えを見つけに向かった先は――。
