With historical research by researcher Seiichi Shirato and hand-drawn art by art director Yuji Kaneko, the film grandly recreates Belle Epoque Paris. Arvo Animation's meticulous character direction brings a visual richness that lets viewers experience the flower city of Paris itself as if they were really there. Learning of Chizuru's dream, Fujiko discovers that Olga, the mother of Ruslan, a young man living in the same apartment building, is a former ballerina from Russia, and asks her to give Chizuru lessons. Facing various obstacles as Asian women in Paris, the two set out toward their dreams -- but one day, Fujiko's guardian, her uncle, goes missing.
