Though I'm not really into the majority of songs in this CD, several songs blew me away as I listen to it. "Yume no Naka ni" is now an all time favorite. Reni sounds awesome in this song, and even live on stage. She can really make you shiver with her voice. "Kibou ~Shin Aoi Tori~" is another spectacular song. I'm a huge fan of the original song, and though I admit there's something more enjoyable in that version, this one also gives the chill and shivers like all Kayou Show ending song. This is even more awesome if you watch it live! So overall, I would recommend getting this CD just to get those two piece. Nevertheless, the rest of the songs are enjoyable numbers. "Koi wo Shimaseu" and "Yoru no Rondo Hikari no Sonata" are also nice treats, though for me they really worked only on a certain mood ^_^

I was a little dubious at first; the last soundtrack (even though I enjoyed it) was somewhat lacking. Moreover I wasn't thrilled about a Reni and Iris combo. However after listening to it, I was pleasantly surprised. Every song blew me away on some level. It certainly made up for the past two soundtracks; there hasn't been a cd this good since Kaijin Bessou. It seems to harken back to the days of the Shin Kayou Zenshuu days with really touching melodies, a more "musical" sound and a focus on the leading characters as opposed to the ensemble. Everyone shines on this cd. No Koulan however, but that's ok because the Hanagumi's TOP........ STAR makes her grand re-appearance on here. Reni and Sakura are the real showstoppers here and both showcases really beautiful songs. Maria comes in at a close second. And Oogami is given the most amount songs in kayou zenshuu history... Kaede too. And I was very happy that Iris wasn't given too much, just a nice duet at the end. Anyway, this soundtrack is absolutely stunning, a must buy!
This is the studio recording of some of the songs performed in the Sakura Wars live show "Shin Aoi Tori". Included is a new version of "Kibou" which is titled "Kibou ~Shin Aoi Tori Yori~" performed by Iris (Kumiko Nishihara) and Reni (Kazue Ikura). I would suggest getting the album just to hear that and "Yume No Naka Ni" a solo performance by Reni. Overall this is a beautiful album filled with great vocals and songs.
