[Machine Translation] During his first visit to England in 1884, Dvo ak performed his Stabat Mater at the Royal Albert Hall to great acclaim. In addition to his gratitude for the success of the premiere, he was also deeply impressed by the English choral music tradition. The Mass in D major, composed three years later, was a small-scale work for the dedication of a new church built by his friend, the famous architect Joseph Halafka. Dvo ak's wife, Anna, also participated in the alto solo as a soloist, creating an intimate atmosphere. The following April, the work was presented to the public in Pilsen, but the publisher Zimrock showed no interest in it, and another publisher, NOVELLO, commissioned an orchestral version, which was published first. 1884年、初のイギリス訪問の際に、ロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで自作の「スターバト・マーテル」を演奏し大喝采を受けたドヴォルザーク。初演の成功への感謝の気持ちとともに、イギリスの合唱音楽の伝統にも強く感銘を受けました。その3年後に作曲された「ミサ曲ニ長調」は、彼の友人で著名な建築家ジョセフ・ハラフカが建築した新しい教会の奉献式のために作曲された小規模な作品で、1887年9月の初演時はオルガンの伴奏と小規模な合唱、アルト・ソロではドヴォルザークの妻アンナもソリストとして参加するという親密な雰囲気でした。翌年4月ピルゼンで一般公開されましたが、出版社ジムロックはこの作品に関心を示すことなく、他の出版社NOVELLOが「管弦楽伴奏版」を依頼、こちらが先に出版されました。古典的な佇まいを持つ美しい作品です。2015年録音。
