Yusha No Kuzu Blu-ray Box Vol.4

A massive indie hit, nominated for the "Next Manga Awards" for two consecutive years, is adapted into a TV anime. The series begins airing on the Nippon Television network from January 2026, and Blu-ray Volume 4 is available. The original work is "Scum of the Brave" by Rocket Shokai, first published on the novel posting site Kakuyomu from February 13, 2016. The novel also received an award in the Contemporary Action category at the 1st Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest. The anime is directed by Shinji Ushiro, known for "Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack" and "Yo-kai Watch". Animation production is handled by OLM, known for "The Apothecary Diaries" series and "I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I'm the World's Strongest? I Want to Be an Adventurer". In the mid-21st century, Tokyo's underworld is ruled by mafias who have become "Demon Lords" through ether (magical energy) enhancement surgery. The bounty hunters who take down these Demon Lords are called "Heroes". Heroes boost their ether abilities with a drug known as E3 to fight back. Their acts of killing are legalized, turning the job of a Hero into a sanctioned profession built around killing. In this brutal world, a freelance Hero known as "Shinigami" Yashiro is approached by a self-proclaimed "disciple": Jogamine, a high school girl training to become a Hero. Reluctantly taking her in, Yashiro soon gets dragged into a string of terrible incidents. A colossal modern supernatural action story begins, featuring a trashy "master" and a self-proclaimed "disciple". Includes Episodes 19 to 24. Video and audio bonuses include a PV and TV commercial collection (Cour 2) and audio commentary for two episodes.
