CDTV No.1 Hits - Age Uta -

I've watched CDTV a few times while in Japan and was curious, so I gave these 4 CDs(each sold separately) a listen. I'm not familiar with probably about half of these artists on the 4 albums, so it gave me a better look and introduction to other artists and music in Japan on a whole. This CD in particular was very good. It had just two slightly annoying tracks. These would be "Be Together" and "Mickey". BT gets kinda interesting and adjusts after a few listens, but I found "Mickey" to just stay annoying on the ears. The other thing that I'd like to add is that Ayu's "Boys & Girls" was a poor choice as a final track. It's got a beat and sound that leaves you expecting and wanting more when the music stops at the end of this song. The song itself however is a fantastic classic. I was already very familiar with artists like Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, Ai Otsuka, AAA and Tohoshinki, so my new favorites out of people I didn't know prior to this release would be "Give me a Shake(by MAX)" and "WHITE BREATH (by T.M.Revolution)". I think I'm going to go check out more of these artists' music after this. So on the whole it's quite a good compilation. Just they should've replaced "Mickey" with something else and maybe re-arranged the tracklist a bit. All in All a 9/10.
