BLACK TOKYO [CD+Blu-ray]

THE RAMPAGE releases its 27th new single! The title track "BLACK TOKYO" is selected as the theme song for "TOKYO BURST: Outlaws," a Japan-original story film based on the mega-hit Korean series "The Roundup," which has drawn over 40 million viewers in total in Korea. The song is set against a tense track created by noisy and loud synths and powerful rhythms, and carves out a determination to suppress wavering emotions in a pitch-black world where lies and true feelings fly about and to break through by believing in one's own justice, together with an ominous and grand chorus that evokes a chaotic city. In "BLACK TOKYO," RIKU, Hokuto Yoshino, Kenta Kamiya, YAMASHO, and Takahide Suzuki take the mic, while in "Maverick," produced as a secondary theme song, RIKU, Hokuto Yoshino, LIKIYA, and Shohei Urakawa take the mic, making this a work that broadens THE RAMPAGE's expressive range. This edition with video includes the "BLACK TOKYO" music video, which visualizes the members' resolve and the song's impulse around the axis of "light and shadow" in a Tokyo dyed black and red where neither justice nor rules function, along with the MV making-of.
