ザ・ローリング・ストーンズの絶頂期と名高い、アルバム『メイン・ストリートのならず者』リリース後、1972年の北米ツアーをとらえた伝説のライヴ映画を再発売。史上最高のライヴ・バンドとも謳われるストーンズ、その長い歴史の中でも、キース・リチャーズとミック・テイラーのギター・アンサンブルが円熟の域に達したこの1972～1973ツアーが、まさに最強だったということは多くのファンが認めるところ。ミック・ジャガーも後年、この時期が最も音楽的に充実していたと語っている。収録されるのは「ブラウン・シュガー」「ジャンピン・ジャック・フラッシュ」「ダイスをころがせ」等の代表曲から、「むなしき愛」「無情の世界」「ミッドナイト・ランブラー」といったステージでのハイライト・ナンバー、更には1972年ツアーでしか演奏されていない「バイ・バイ・ジョニー」など、当時のセットリストをほぼ網羅した15曲。インタヴューを収めたボーナスDVD付き。
