Eliminator [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD] [Limited Release]

ok we are now in 1983, i remember when this came out all to well, this is a good record all in all but zz top got out of hand with this album with the synthazizers and the very electric dance sound that would ruin zz top for me for many years to come, as most know what an insult to frank beard this record was becouse they used a drum machine and they continued to do so for many many years on, this record produced 4 top 40 hits and it seemed like by late 1983 early 1984 zz top was the biggest band in the world next to van halen and ozzy, this record took zz top to a whole new level and it was huge, i love the hit UNDER PRESSURE and i know zz top still open there live set with that song to this day, i must say when i saw zz top many years ago i felt that was the best song for them to open with but as with most top 40 records this got way to played out and mtv where just to much all over it, you can still hear billys great guitar licks but you hear them OVER the synthazizers wich can get on a guitar guys nerves after a while, anyway the shm mastering is awesome and the replication of the lp sleeve is exact to the original lp even down to the inner sleeve, this was the last zz top record i ever bought, as i never bought afterburner becouse i heard it being played in a record shop when it was released in 1985 and i thought it was awful. zz top 1970 to 1981 is where i am at and always will be with these guys, i bought this becouse i did enjoy a few of the songs on here like under pressure, t.v dinners and a couple of others but the earlier stuff just blows this away.............

Just like the Japanese studio mini albums of 2011 / from ALICE COOPER [band , solo] & all of the 2013 / GENESIS Japanese remastered SHM-CDs the , this ZZ TOP / 2013 remaster doesn't disapoint. Every thing is clear , crish & hopping mad Texas style sound wise...Another winner from , CD JAPAN. In Canada , they are called ZED ZED TOP...lol... THANKS , CD JAPAN !!!

There was a reason this was ZZ's most popular album ever , it just flat out rocks! Amazing tunes , amazing sound....they put it all together on this one and it arrived at the perfect time in the '80's. This one is mastered a bit louder than all ZZ's previous albums , but i don't think that's a bad thing for this album , it just comes blazing out of the speakers and you just wanna turn it up louder! So cool , so killer! Mini LP replica and inner sleeve is fantastico once again.....awesome.....these ZZ Top Mini LP SHM-CD's are great, great , great!! Excellent Japan....you rocked this one!
