This is the first time i've ever listened to this album. I must say that the Dead in the late '60's is a different band than in the late '70's. This is first live recording the Dead ever released from what i've read. The improvisation is amazing , it's a journey of experimentation. This album takes you back to 1969....taking a hit of acid and experiencing the beauty and wonder of it all. But the musicianship is tight and Jerry's guitar work is wonderful. Very organic and dynamic show. I think Robert Christgau said it best "this live album contains the finest rock improvisation ever recorded"! SHM-CD sound is excellent and Mini LP is beautiful.....excellent gatefold on high quality cardboard. It even includes the bi-fold art and lyric book that was issued in the original LP. It also contains a sticker of the Grateful Dead Dancing Bear and a Skull sticker. This is an incredible release.....so glad i picked it up. I would have to say i can't recommend it enough!! Grab it while you can!
