Quality of record very much pleased! ! ! Excellent work! ! !Never would think that this disk can sound so... I recommend to fans of group and this disk! ! !
this was the second and last deep purple album to feature ritchie blackmore in the mark 3 line up for 10 years until the perfect strangers reunion in 1984, ( i always loved the artwork for this lp) regardless this is as classic as burn was and has the trademark classic soldier of fortune on it wich blackmore was playing live with blackmores night 10 years ago in 2003 ( i have not seen them since) anyway i love this record, the band was really working well together regardless of the turmoil within the band at this time, this record however was not as successful in the us as burn was and by this time blackmore was already thinking of packing it in with purple and forming rainbow, as the old story goes ELF featuring the late great ronnie james dio opened a few shows for deep purple on the us version of the stormbringer tour and blackmore hired him without the other members knowing about it, anyway this is a hard rock classic and did very well in japan, europe and australia upon its release,most deep purple diehards like me however LOVED THIS ALBUM and it is a must own, i kind of feel silly at this point becouse if you read this far you must have heard this album a bunch of times, the cd remastering is great sounds awesome and the lp replication of the original japan lp from november 1974 is perfect, sadly in this country the mark 3 line up got very over looked many came to see purple live i was told BUT THEY STILL THOUGHT GILLAN AND GLOVER WHERE IN THE BAND, well you did not have all the internet and social media back then but still????? the tour did ok in america i was told, i never get tired of this album, if you can i would grab this along with the others, once again like with the mark 2 and burn releases i wish the deluxe treatment was given to all of these.............
