the second offering in 1971 by this now legendary mark 2 line up, i can still remember the first time i heard demons eye, the mule and anyones daughter what a classic timeless album this is, the band where on to rock stardom at this point BUT sadly it still took a couple of years for these first 2 hard rock albums by purple to take off fully, this lp did very well here in the us and by late 1971 there was a big buzz starting surrounding purple as they did have a hit with HUSH in 1968 with the mark 2 line up, anyway this was now the evolving hard rockin deep purple we all know and love to this day, i actually like the first 3 mark 1 records but nothing can top mark 2 and 3 with this band, there is not a bad song on this album and the remastering is great and as always i love the original lp replication, an ace job done again by the japanese record company.........

Fireball is excellent in shm mini lp format but where's one of my all time fave DP tunes Demon's Eye? DE should be added as a bonus track or better yet why not add all the bonus tracks that are on the Fireball deluxe edition so that they can be enjoyed in shm sound. That would add great value.
