with flight of the rat, hard lovin man and the rest of the great songs on this classic debut by the mark 2 purple line up you cant go wrong, if it where not for this line up and this record i dont think deep purple would have lasted much longer in 1970 as this was there 4th lp at this time and this is where the writing team of blackmore, gillan, glover, paice and lord began, this record is as classic as the first black sabbath record, this record and deep purple gave a whole new meaning to hard rock in 1970 and this would kick start many great british and none british bands alike into the hard rock genre that would eventually be called HEAVY METAL by the late 70s, i cant say enough about this classic and the remastering is awesome here as well as the replication of the original japan lp from way back in 1970, this is one of the best records deep purple ever made and it was the beginning of there most successful line up wich still exists to this day some 43 years later with sadly only ian paice, gillan and roger...............
