"THE GHOST IN THE SHELL" O.S.T.

Since Masamune Shirow first published the original manga in "Young Magazine Kaizokuban" (Kodansha) in 1989, the "Ghost in the Shell" series has continued to surprise and stimulate audiences around the world through a wide range of works, including "Ghost in the Shell" (1995), directed by Mamoru Oshii, animation titles, and a Hollywood live-action film. The original soundtrack for the latest series, the TV anime "THE GHOST IN THE SHELL," is now being released. The music director is Taisei Iwasaki, who won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Music for the film "BELLE" and also composed the music for the currently released film "Tokyo Taxi." In addition to Taisei Iwasaki, the music is jointly handled by Ryo Konishi, who served as music director for the opening ceremony of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and has worked on numerous theatrical works and drama scores, as well as sound production for Chara+YUKI, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, TOMOO, and others, and YUKI KANESAKA, a U.S.-based composer who has recently worked on the music for the TV anime "Dr. STONE." The jacket features a newly illustrated cover by tarou2, supervised by Science SARU.

1989年に「ヤングマガジン増刊 海賊版」(講談社)にて士郎正宗が原作コミックを発表して以来、押井守監督による『GHOST IN THE SHELL/攻殻機動隊』(1995年)をはじめ、アニメーション、ハリウッド実写映画など様々な作品群を展開し、世界中に驚きと刺激を与え続けてきた「攻殻機動隊」シリーズ。その最新シリーズとなるTVアニメ『攻殻機動隊 THE GHOST IN THE SHELL』のオリジナルサウンドトラックがリリース! 音楽監督を担当するのは映画『竜とそばかすの姫』で日本アカデミー賞最優秀音楽賞を受賞し、現在公開中の映画『TOKYOタクシー』の音楽も手掛けた岩崎太整。音楽は岩崎太整に加え、2025年大阪・関西万博の開会式の音楽監督や数多くの劇場作品、ドラマ音楽をはじめChara+YUKI、Mrs.GREEN APPLE、TOMOO等のサウンドプロデュースも手掛ける小西遼、アメリカを拠点に活動し、近年ではTVアニメ『Dr.STONE』の音楽も手掛けたYUKI KANESAKAの3名による共同体制。ジャケットはサイエンスSARU監修・tarou2による新規描き下ろしイラストジャケット。
