Historical -The highest Nightmare-

First: this review just represents MY view on the album. Ok, so here we have it. As always Nightmare choose a relatively impressive Title for their new Best-Of-Album. But remember, you can't judge a book by it's title, so let's see if Nightmare did well this time. It starts up with Believe, whose new Instrumentation is just great and also vocalist Yomi keeps his (imho annoying) Vibrato down. Same could be said about the followers Akane, HATE, Over, Varuna, and especially Fly me to the Zenith, an Indie Jewel which really made me cry the first Moment I heard it, because this was just how I imagined it to re-record already a long time ago. 5Starz to that!!! Sadly the rest of the re-recordings didn't impress me that much to say they are competitive to the originals. Don't get me wrong, the songs are not bad in a way, but some of them lost the kind of flavor that made them good while others simply didn't reach the line to overstep the original. But generally this re-recording CD was much more pleasant to me than the far worse GIANIZM, because you damn hear they put a LOT of effort in this. The new background sound and synthies worked out really good and also the little composition changes didn't feel to me like this made it weaker. The second CD includes a quite good collection of songs during their VAP time. PLUS heyheyhey there is a new song on this CD. D Senjou no Tragedy carries an impressive sound atmosphere which matches the fact that again I felt like "damn I've heard this before". Which is a pretty common feeling during Nightmare's latest works. As a result I can say even though there are weaknesses, I have to admit I thought this would come out far worse. And it didn't. Ok, it isn't the HIGHEST Nightmare, but Nightmare Fans, you will have your joy on this. I did so too, even though lately I struggled with this band.
