BABYMETALが、2020年1月25日・26日に幕張メッセ国際展示場で行ったワールドツアー日本公演の追加公演となったワンマンライブ＜METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN EXTRA SHOW LEGEND - METAL GALAXY＞の模様を全編収録した映像作品。全日ソールドアウトし、2日間で約5万人(各日約25,000人)を収容する会場で、期待と熱気に溢れた観客を前に「METAL GALAXY WOULD TOUR」(13ヵ国44公演、約25万人動員)の集大成となる世界基準の熱狂パフォーマンスを全24曲披露。本公演を通しては、CD2枚組からなる3rdアルバム『METAL GALAXY』のテーマでもある"メタルの銀河の旅"をイメージし、1月25日(土)のDAY-1は"光の世界"、1月26日(日)のDAY-2は"闇の世界"をテーマに、2日間の公演中で同じ曲を演奏しない、セットリストに被り曲が無い形でアルバムを再現するという新たな挑戦に臨んだライブ。ドーム規模のライブ会場で使用される巨大LEDスクリーンに映し出されたメタルの銀河を旅するかのような映像美、BABYMETALの新たな面を体現した楽曲「Oh! Well, of course I should review the item, not the show, but if you've got an explicit amount of high-end-hardware, you will enjoy the 'disc'-show as real and powerful as it certainly was at the live show. Regretably there are no equal live shows in Europe or U.S.A like there was/is in Asia. I'm confident that there will be some positive changes for the future within the band, even through the actual pandemic situation! Stay healthy!
