Then she encounters funeral planner Urushibara Reiji (Ren Meguro), who notices her secret and encourages her to use that ability, guiding her toward becoming a funeral planner. Misora begins working as an intern at the funeral company Bando Kaikan alongside Urushibara, whose strict guidance seems almost cold-hearted and flawless. However, she also notices his sincere dedication toward the deceased and their families, and becomes inspired by the way he gently says, "It will soon be time to say goodbye," during funeral departures. Eventually, the two face various family funerals together: a husband who lost his pregnant wife, parents who lost their young daughter, and a man unable to be present at the passing of his beloved living far away. As they confront profound grief, Misora and Urushibara continue searching for the answer to the question, "What kind of funeral can satisfy not only the bereaved family but also the deceased?" Inspired by him, Misora decides to pursue the path of becoming a funeral planner herself. Urushibara gradually comes to trust Misora as well, and together they aim to create "the best farewell" connecting the feelings of those left behind and those departing.
