Description

In the late 1960s through the early 1970s, Donovan became hugely popular as a truly one-of-a-kind singer-songwriter. This year (2025) marks the 60th anniversary of his debut, and next year (2026) marks the 80th anniversary of his birth. To commemorate these milestones, this classic title is reissued for the first time in a cardboard-sleeve (mini LP) edition, based on a replica of the U.S. A-style LP packaging. It also features a replica Japanese LP obi and inner sleeve. Also features remastering in 2026 and Blu-spec CD2. Comes with new liner notes, and provides lyrics and Japanese translations.

[ドノヴァン紙ジャケット・コレクション(2)] 60年代後半から70年代初頭にかけて、唯一無二の存在として人気を博したシンガー・ソングライター、ドノヴァン。今年(2025年)はデビュー60周年、そして来年(2026年)は生誕80年。それを記念して名盤を初の紙ジャケ仕様で再発 (US盤A式LP復刻をもとに制作)。日本盤LP帯&内袋復刻、2026年最新リマスター、高品質Blu-spec CD2、新規ライナーノーツ、歌詞・対訳付。本作『サンシャイン・スーパーマン』は全米ナンバーワンに輝いたタイトル曲を始め、数多のカヴァーを生んだ「魔女の季節」をフィーチャーしたエピック第1弾。それまでのフォーク・ソングのイメージから脱却。中世をテーマにした歌詞に加え、自身のルーツであるケルト民族音楽とインド音楽とを融合させ、いち早くサイケデリックという新時代を切り拓いた画期的な作品。当時はセッション・マンだったジミー・ペイジがギターで参加している。全米11位。1966年作品。
