Zerkalo (Mirror / Movie) 4K Restored Ver.

[Machine Translation] The pinnacle of master filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky s cinematic art! Revived in the world s first high-definition 4K restoration, completed in 2025! A beautiful cinematic poem where fragments of memory intertwine Tarkovsky s one-of-a-kind masterpiece, inspired by his own childhood An autobiographical work by master director Andrei Tarkovsky, who left behind masterpieces that have gone down in film history, such as *Nostalghia* and *Sacrifice*. The story, in which the memories of mother Maria and son Alexei are intricately intertwined, is layered with poems by the director s own father, Arseny, read by the director himself, vividly reflecting his deep feelings and memories of his family. From the juxtaposition of black-and-white and color to the use of color such as the lush green of nature and the fiery red of blazing flames and techniques like slow motion and reverse playback that create a unique sense of weightlessness, this film truly embodies the essence of Tarkovsky s cinematic artistry. This release features the latest 4K restoration material from 2025, marking the world s first 4K remastered edition. His childhood, spent being raised single-handedly by his mother, who was shrouded in deep sorrow after the loss of his father, and memories of his mother washing her hair on a day of unceasing rain. At times, his mother sits on a fence, gazing out over the meadow; at other times, she rushes about the print shop where she works after spotting a typo. The boy grows into a man, experiencing both love for and separation from a wife who resembles his mother, and eventually finds himself caring for his own son. Interweaving various fragments of memory such as speech therapy for a stutter and a burning barn he reflects on himself through the mirror of his heart. [Included Bonus] Film Commentary Booklet (Original Commentary + Transcript of the Main Story + Director s Profile)
