Despair reboots. -- "Danganronpa 2" returns, powered up. A new killing game begins, set against the backdrop of a school trip to a tropical island. The "Danganronpa" series is a high-speed deduction action game in which you refute your opponents' contradictions in class trials and expose the culprits behind each murder. This entry adds new elements, including "Slayhem Mode," in which a story unfolds with completely different victims, culprits, and even tricks, and an evolved "World Map". [New Features] Slayhem Mode: You can experience two kinds of scenarios: "Original Mode," which updates the visuals and presentation of the 2012 release "Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair" for current hardware, and "Slayhem Mode," in which a new story unfolds based on "Danganronpa 2". You can choose your scenario from the mode-select screen at the start of the game, and Slayhem Mode can be selected from the very beginning. In Slayhem Mode, a single incident serves as the catalyst for a story with completely different victims, culprits, and tricks. It offers volume equal to or greater than Original Mode, an increase of about 20% by comparison. World Map: The "World Map," used to travel between areas, has also evolved dramatically. The World Map in "Danganronpa 2" used side-scrolling movement, but in this entry it has been changed to an overhead 3D map, making the layout of locations on the island easier to understand. On the World Map, you can move by running or by instantly warping to a specified location, whichever method you prefer. The first-person-view 3D map has also been redesigned to let you feel the tropical atmosphere even more deeply.
