Christmas no Yakusoku 2010

"Christmas Promise 2010" is a memorable work marking the program's 10th broadcast anniversary. Under the theme of "enjoying a private live show with new music friends in Yokohama, Oda's hometown," a warm space different in character from previous installments was created. While carrying on from the flow that produced such great emotion with the previous year's "22'50''," this work chose to return to the appeal of music itself rather than competing in scale or staging. The members of the "small committee," including Oda, carefully selected song after song from among tens of thousands of pieces and performed each artist's signature songs and Oda's own works. The sight of the artists holding their instruments, surrounding each other in a circle, and connecting songs as if conversing conveys an intimacy as if you had been invited to a private live show. Conveying to the fullest the power and warmth that music itself possesses, unlike lavish staging, it created a fresh emotion not found in previous editions of "Christmas Promise." This special night, born at the milestone of the 10th anniversary of "Christmas Promise," became an unforgettable night quietly and deeply engraved in the program's history.

『クリスマスの約束2010』は、番組放送10周年を迎えた記念すべき一作。「横浜 (小田の地元)で新しい音楽仲間たちとプライベートライブを楽しむ」をテーマに、これまでとは趣の異なる温かな空間が作り上げられた。 前年の『22'50"』で大きな感動を生んだ流れを受けながらも、本作では規模や演出を競うのではなく、音楽そのものの魅力に立ち返ることを選択。小田をはじめとする"小委員会"のメンバーが、何万曲にも及ぶ楽曲の中から一曲一曲を丁寧に選び抜き、それぞれの代表曲や小田自身の楽曲を演奏していく。アーティストたちが楽器を手に円を囲み、語り合うように歌をつないでいく姿は、まるでプライベートライブに招かれたかのような親密さを感じさせる。華やかな演出とは異なる、音楽そのものが持つ力と温もりが存分に伝わる内容となっており、これまでの『クリスマスの約束』にはなかった新鮮な感動を生み出した。『クリスマスの約束』10周年の節目に生まれたこの特別な夜は、番組の歴史に静かに、そして深く刻まれる忘れがたい一夜となった。
