Description

"SUPER HAPPY FOREVER", the feature film by world-renowned director Kohei Igarashi, which was selected as the first Japanese film to open the 81st Venice International Film Festival's Venice Days section, is now available on Blu-ray. The Blu-ray also include "Suigyo no Koryo" and trailers (subject to change). --On August 19, 2023, childhood friends Sano and Miyata visit a seaside resort hotel in Izu. The hotel is about to close, and Anne and the other Vietnamese employees are about to retire. Sano has recently lost his wife Nagi, whom he met and fell in love with at this hotel five years ago. Miyata, unable to bear the sight of Sano's desperation and obsession with the memory of his wife, offers him advice as a friend, but Miyata's words do not reach Sano, who is devoted to a certain seminar.

第81回ヴェネチア国際映画祭ヴェニス・デイズ部門では日本映画初となるオープニング上映作品として選出されるなど、世界が注目する五十嵐耕平監督による待望の長編最新作『SUPER HAPPY FOREVER』が、Blu-rayで発売。――2023年8月19日、伊豆にある海辺のリゾートホテルを訪れた幼馴染の佐野と宮田。まもなく閉館を迎えるこのホテルでは、アンをはじめとしたベトナム人の従業員たちが、ひと足早く退職日を迎えようとしている。佐野は、5年前にここで出会い恋に落ちた妻・凪を最近亡くしたばかりだった。妻との思い出に固執し自暴自棄になる姿を見かねて、宮田は友人として助言をするものの、あるセミナーに傾倒している宮田の言葉は佐野には届かない。2人は少ない言葉を交わしながら、閉店した思い出のレストランや遊覧船を巡り、かつて失くした赤い帽子を探し始める。映像特典には、『水魚之交』、予告集を収録 (予定)。
