      Ashura-jo no Hitomi A Solid Soundtrack 4

The Soundtrack for Ashura-jo no Hitomi is a solid work from Maestro Yoko Kanno. Perdeski Cloyn, the first track, is reminiscent of past soundtracks, especially the Stand Alone Complex Soundtracks and her work on Arjuna; this feeling is repeated in the tracks "harain, harain" and "kerentekeren". This soundtrack eschews the western feel of much of Kanno's work of the past few years for a distinctly Japanese feel. It has a vague sense of mystery that is highly appealing, and is short enough (clocking in at just under 46 minutes long) to listen to from beginning to end in one sitting. I recommend this soundtrack.
