プログレッシヴ・ロック・シーンのトップ・バンド、イエスのベーシストであったクリス・スクワイア。2015年に惜しまれつつこの世を去った彼が1975年にリリースした唯一のソロ・アルバムが初のSACDとして登場! ジョン・アンダーソン、スティーヴ・ハウ、リック・ウェイクマンといった黄金期メンバーを擁したイエスは、『こわれもの (原題: Fragile)』 (1971年)、『危機 (原題: Close To The Edge)』 (1971年)という傑作や『海洋地形学の物語 (原題: Tales From Topographic Oceans)』 (1973年)という大作を発表。その後ウェイクマンの後任にパトリック・モラーツを迎え発売した『リレイヤー (原題: Relayer)』 (1974年)ツアー後に活動を休止し、75～76年に一連メンバーのソロ・アルバムがリリースされた。リード・ヴォーカルとベースは全編クリスがとり、ビル・ブルーフォードやパトリック・モラーツ、メル・コリンズ、ジミー・ヘイスティングがクリスのために集結。ダイナミックで骨太なサウンドが特徴的なベースやファルセットを活用した歌声はそのままに、豪華メンバーと繰り広げられるアンサンブルは感動的。数あるイエス・メンバーのソロ作の中で、本作はイエスの王道を歩むものであり、最もイエスらしいアルバムといえるだろう。輸入盤国内仕様。紙ジャケット仕様。帯、日本語解説付。
