It seems that I have bought the last item on CDJapan and so obliged to leave a detailed review. `Wings Greatest` is a must for my collection for several reasons. This is the only fine Wings and McCartney compillation, and songs of the 70s and 80s are not mixed in one bundle. This collection is built on the principle of plot and musical complementarity of songs, therefore it sounds like an album. The collection is cleverly designed and resembles the Everest idea for `Abbey Road` and scenes in the Alps filmed for `Help!`. I also like the statuette of Semiramida used for the front side of the original LP cover (connected with it are many interesting stories). Fourth, beautiful inner sleeves and poster which I personally really love. Fifthly, there are many songs (or their single versions) in `Wings Greatest` which were not included in the albums. Nice to mention too that `Wings Greatest` is an absolutely exact copy of the first UK press and so are `Thrillington`, `Band On The Run` and some others. Unfortunately, the strict japanese rule to copy only the first presses had been again violated in the case of `Ram`, `Wings Over America`, `Venus And Mars`, `Wings At The Speed Of Sound`. However, they are so good that some little things do not spoil the overall picture. Stronly recommended!
