I feel like this album is the mental successor to her old LOVEppears album, there is something very similar in the feeling and sound of both albums. And it's definitely not a bad thing, quite the opposite. Her voice and her songs are more mature, more polished, and the dance songs are highly enjoyable. I found many of the songs getting stuck in my head afterwards. The only downside of this album was just that the ballads weren't very memorable - they felt boring and interrupted the flow of an otherwise excellent album. Still, I can warmly recommend Colours to any fan of Ayu's who likes her fast-paced dance songs.

It's been a long time since Ayumi released an album that I could recommend. I really like this album. Her Tokyo concert in July (where she sang most of the songs on this album was good as well. (I hated her 2012 concert)
