Probably Nana's most mature album yet, Bondage takes a bit of getting used to but is certainly worth it. Although the album as a whole moves away from the fun and spunky sound from I Scream, songs like "PUNK&BABYs" and Nana's cover of Cyndi Lauper hit "She Bop" are definitely the most familiar points on the album. The rest of the album seems to pick up where "dark snow angel" left off, with a similar sound recurring and progressing in tracks like "Lamia" and "Under Babydoll". And of course, Nana's voice is supreme throughout, though we ironically get to hear a little more high-pitched screaming in this album than the last. Personal highpoints of the album would have to include: "Eiteru (Ether)", "Under Babydoll" and the final track "My Dear Maria." In short, this album marks a more sophisticated turn for Nana, with the record having a more angsty and personal feel to it. A great listen with a multitude of extremely mature songs, this is definitely worth a buy for all Nana fans.
