今年のクリスマスをLOVE&PEACEで彩る奇跡のコラボ! 桑田佳祐&松任谷由実「Kissin' Christmas (クリスマスだからじゃない) 2023」大反響につき7インチのアナログ盤もリリース決定! 本作は、桑田佳祐が中心となって企画された伝説の音楽番組「メリー・クリスマス・ショー」(日本テレビ/1986,1987年放送) のために作詞・松任谷由実、作曲:桑田佳祐で制作された楽曲「Kissin' Christmas (クリスマスだからじゃない)」をリメイクした楽曲。桑田とユーミンのデュエット曲としてリアレンジし、ボーカルも新たにレコーディング。間奏では桑田佳祐が「恋人はサンタクロース」を、松任谷由実が「波乗りジョニー」を一節歌い繋ぎマッシュアップするなど、リメイクという言葉で片付けることのできない、大胆なアイデアで楽曲をリメイクしている。12月20日(水)にはシングル盤、及び『ユーミン乾杯!!～松任谷由実50周年記念コラボベストアルバム～』へ楽曲収録する形でCDリリースされるが、楽曲が大反響を呼んでいることを受け、追加で7インチのアナログ盤も発売されることが決定。※本作は、ふたりの想いを体現する形で、本作から得られる収益の一部は、子どもたちの未来といのちを守るためにセーブ・ザ・チルドレンへ寄付される。
