All in all, it’s a pretty good set. The new mixes are fabulous, making the album sound much more clean and modern while still honouring the original sound, and the sessions material is a treasure trove of behind the scenes insights. And now I guess we’ll have to wait and see if they do a similar set for the Sheer Heart Attack album in the next year or two…

I absolutely love this album, every single track is amazing.Totally captivated by Time Travel! JUJUsvoice is perfectly suited for melodies with a retro vibe. None of her covers are mere replicas; instead, she delivers them with her unique gentle interpretation. I could loop the entire album on repeat without getting tired of it—it’s incredibly soothing.

Their music is built on strong melodies, often with a classical/baroque character, virtuoso keyboard and guitar playing, and a sublime blend of classical and rock elements. All of this is performed so professionally and with so much passion that it is a true delight for the musical ear.

COVERS carries on the essence of cover series, yet breaks free from the framework of only covering classic hits by female singers. With more liberal song selection, it demonstrates his mastery of diverse music styles. His naturally crystalline vocal tone lends a tender filter to every track, delivering soothing comfort and timeless charm.

Moving fluidly between progressive jazz-rock, atmospheric psychedelia, free improvisation and ambient textures, Thirteen is expansive in scope yet sharply focused in execution. While the line-up has evolved many times since the late 1960s, the group’s defining qualities remain intact: musical curiosity, stylistic freedom and a refusal to be pinned down.

I still prefer this band with Turner, but, Romero does decent enough on this effort, with some solid AOR that sounds like it comes from a Frontiers-made band from the songs to production. Tracks like I’ll Stand for You and Restless Fight are standouts. Recommended.

McAuley, Reb and Pilson (and that drummer guy) just get better and better with every Black Swan release; Paralyzed is easily their best album to date. They are just as melodic and catchy as they were in their sophomoric effort, but, they ramp up the composition in this effort. The title track, Cold Wind and King are great. However, this Japanese version is the one to get because while bands just put a piano or acoustic arrangement underneath vocals they already recorded for a track on an album and call it a bonus track, the way they do it here for Cold Wind is AWESOME. Get it!!

This version definitely gives you that satisfaction that the original "ConstruKction" seemed to be missing. The sound is cleaner, not so cold and harsh as before, and the new drum track totally brings a much better dimension to everything. This now turns into a King Crimson album that sits up there with the best.

This is an admittedly biased review for the simple fact that while this album is very much “average” in every conceivable way across the board, Mr. Darkness is a modern day Ozzy masterpiece. Literally flawless, it has everything I want from amazing guitar solos, time changes, mood changes … this album is worth picking up for this song alone. In fact, the 4th star is just for that song!!

Are We Nearly There Yet? is a great representation of BBT 2.0 live – a punchy, concise, more rocking version, without losing sight of its progressive roots. This live album is an excellent interlude until the next studio is released.

Great case, great art book(s), great poster. Buy this to encourage SHAFT to make the next one more quickly. Great packaging as always. Unfortunately, there is a slight bend in one corner of the disc jacket, otherwise everything is perfect.

The album overflows with emotion and feelings that do not remain only in the field of narrative, they also cross through the music and gain body in the instruments, besides breathing in the intervals. The melodies are captivating and stick in your head easily, but without resorting to obvious shortcuts or ready made formulas. There is a more organic magnetism that builds gradually and when you realize it you are already humming parts without even noticing.

An essential album for lovers of the genre but also for anyone wanting to start experiencing some well-done 'jasi' without exaggerations like in the Bop style. One of the best albums I've heard, one of the most emotionally charged albums I've ever listened to.

For YES fans, this set is a nice add to the library as it updates the sound, and puts everything under the same roof. As a personal opinion, I feel that Symphonic Live serves two purposes: to provide a look at the YES classic songs reinterpreted with a orchestral accompaniment, and as a time-honored look at a later period of YES complete with a classic line-up (minus Rick Wakeman, who had an inescapable prior commitment that, sadly, didn’t allow for his involvement). However, and as the included BD reveals, the band and all participants enjoyed their time on this stage. The music is good, the songs are classic gems, and it’s YES. I’m pleased with this new updated reissue.
