The Dancer [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]Gary BoyleAMAZING RECORD FROM 1977
this was GARY BOYLES solo album after he disbanded ISOTOPE and this is as great as all 3 ISOTOPE records where i reviewed here....... lets put it this way if you are a fan of JEFF BECK you will LOVE all 3 ISOTOPE discs as well as THIS GARY BOYLE solo disc from 1977, this has amazing crisp clear sound to it, the SHM remastering sounds amazing here and the japan mini lp replication is beautiful!!!!! gary sure should have been much bigger & got a lot more attention then he did back in the day, THIS IS FANTASTIC JAZZY ROCK typical mid 70s sounding.... this could be the soundtrack to a typical early to late 70s detective t.v show.........

Illusion [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]IsotopeFANTASTIC!!
this was the second album ISOTOPE released in 1975, great british prog/jazz band that featured GARY BOYLE, this disc sounds fantastic with the japan shm remastering and the sound is awesome!!!! when you listen to music like this THIS IS HOW YOU WANT TO HEAR THE MUSIC!! anyway beautiful mini lp replication here and as a bonus this comes with a typical JAPAN gull records obi strip replication wich means these 3 albums must have been released on vinyl in japan back in the 70s but im happy with THIS SHM cd set!!!

Deep End [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]IsotopeGREAT FINAL ALBUM!!!
this was the last record ISCOTOPE would release in 1976, this was the last masterpeice GARY BOYLE would do before going off in 1977 to do a solo record... anyway as with ALL 3 records this band released in the mid 1970s ISOTOPE was one of the best british prog/jazz rock bands out of the uk at this time!!! this remastering on the shm mini replication sleeve is fantastic and the sound is superb!!! this is the best cd version of all 3 of these discs i have ever heard, also 3 2001 remastered/remixed bonus tracks are included here...

Hotel California [SACD Hybrid]EAGLESI became a believer
At first I was skeptical how good can this remastering be. Then I got the sacd I was simply amazed that it can sound that good. I will leave the tecnical side to others but for me this is what audiophile really sounds like period.

Isotope [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]IsotopeGREAT BRITISH JAZZ/ROCK
i have always loved this great, brief british jazz/ rock band that released 3 great albums in the early to mid 70s and then split up, THIS SHM mini lp replicated sleeve is fantastic and sounds the best it ever has on the cd format!!!, this was released originally in 1974, my guess is this got a japan lp issue back then to as a bonus GULL RECORDS JAPAN OBI STRIP comes with my copy here, great to hear this music flow!!!! great stuff, also great guitar work that blends well with everything else.....

An Insatiable High [SHM-CD]Masayoshi TakanakaAbsolutely brilliant.
One of my all-time favourite Jazz Fusion albums. I don't know how many times I've listened to this album through the years of discovering it. From start to finish, it's always a joy to listen to!

Rachmaninoff: Complete Piano Concertos (No. 1-4), Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini [Import Disc] <Tower Records Exclusive>Peter Rosel, Kurt Sanderling, Berliner SymphonikerNew remastering - impressive sound
Even if the recordings in previous RBCD releases already sounded quite good, this new remastering now unfolds all the beauty and magic that is in the old tapes. Above all, the sound stage has expanded significantly, sound is actually a bit more spacious and deeper. In addition, all frequency ranges are now well present/audible, and the middle and low registers in particular benefit significantly from this. The piano sound is also richer and less metallic than before. A highly recommended edition, not least because there are very few complete recordings of the piano concertos on SACD!

Uchu Nippon Setagaya [SHM-CD]Fishmansyet another great album
the album that closes off fishmans' spectacular "setagaya trilogy", a super dreamy low-key album filled with great songs like "weather report" and "walking in the rhythm". features a few longer songs and more ambient elements. i would absolutely recommend this one.
-
Kuchu Camp [SHM-CD]Fishmansanother fishmans masterpiece
an utterly excellent release from (the unfortunately pretty unknown) fishmans. tracks like "baby blue" and "nightcruising" are obvious bangers through and through, but the whole thing is spectacular from the opening guitar riffs of "zuttomae". an album that will undoubtedly induce sweet dreams in any listener.
-
Long Season [SHM-CD]Fishmansfishmans magnum opus
fishmans hit it out of the park once again, this time with a 35-minute psychedelic dream-pop masterpiece. long season is a thoroughly amazing album that *must* be experienced. the whole thing has such a great vibe. the only issue i have with this is that the performance of it on their live album is better, but at least you can actually get this version.

Asia [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]AsiaALMOST PERFECT SOUND..
this japan only mini lp replica cd has the best remastering i have ever heard on the cd format!!!, the hi res MQA UHQCD sounds amazing and even better then the shm remastering that to is only available in japan. of coarse the jacket has perfect replication as per the original japan lp, ASIA are a great band but it was THIS ALBUM and there follow up back in 1983 that they never topped... cant believe it has been 40 years since this came out now!!

Hot Rocks [SHM-CD] [Limited Release] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]The Rolling StonesCLASSIC STONES SELECTIONS...
this is a great shm remastered japan only 2 cd set that replicates the original 1971 double lp release of this album, i think if i am correct this was one of the biggest selling stones records back in the 70s here in the us so it is nice to have this in this japan only upgraded format!!!! i must say THIS IS THE BEST SOUNDING VERSION & REMASTERING i have ever heard this 2 cd sound. this comes with a lot of original inserts as per the japan lp release but based on the obi strip and what i found out on the stones website this did not become available in japan back in 1971, this was a us only release in 1971 BUT in later years did get released in other markets........ anyway another fantastic japanese stones product here, im hearing stuff on these discs i never heard before....

Rajaz [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD]CamelMy music
Rajaz is the thirteenth studio album by Camel, released in 1999. The album's songs have been composed on the camel's walking metre and is considered by many fans to be a return to the band's musical roots of the 1970s.
