Here's another cornerstone in my classical listening archive. Herbert Von Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker lift Beethoven's lovely and timeless music to the audio heights it deserves.

This is one of my favorite recordings. It arrived when vinyl was no longer the medium of choice. I have suffered with the collapse of quality on loud orchestral passages. As well the piano tone was not good. This HQ CD corrects most of the problems. The piano sounds as a grand piano should. The orchestral sound is fuller and clear. Comparing the regular CD and this version is a vast improvement.

This Deluxe Edition of "A Symphonic Celebration" is an absolute must-have for any Joe Hisaishi or Studio Ghibli enthusiast. Having the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra breathe new life into these iconic compositions takes the emotional impact to a whole new level.

I would put 5 stars as this miku symphony live is amazing as always every year, but I don't know if the blu-ray editor messed up or if it already was like thag in the concert itself, but putting the MV of the songs through AI to make it "better quality" just makes it really ugly and a bad decision. It's really obvious on Acute and ReAct. I hope they won't do it again.

Magic for the ears. This is the highest quality modern classical music. Beautiful presented, wonderfully played - a masterpiece.

As with the parallel released SHM-SACD featuring the 4th symphony, this album also benefits from the new DSD remastering. Stunning sound, you wouldn't guess that these recordings are almost 50 years old. A real gem of the late analogue DECCA catalogue.

I listened to the SHM-SACD UCGD-9122 with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 4, performed by Bernard Haitink and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This recording has always been powerful, but the new remastering by UK ClassicSound makes it shine even more. The sound is clear, rich, and very detailed. I could hear the orchestra with great depth, from the quiet passages to the huge climaxes. The performance itself is strong and dramatic, and while the symphony is far from easy-listening—it is a complex and demanding work—the excellent sound quality allows me to appreciate its full intensity.

A beautiful 2 cd disc from this Japanese synthesizer virtuoso. The Silk Rad tracks are great. The recordings are of exceptionally clear sound quality and highly recommended.

Karajan’s 1979 Mahler Symphony No. 4 with the Berlin Philharmonic is elegant and finely balanced, avoiding heavy drama in favor of clarity and warmth. The vocals of the finale is sung with purity and charm. The Japanese SHM-SACD offers superb sound — clean, detailed, and with a natural sense of space that brings out the beauty of Mahler’s lighter orchestration. A refined, polished performance in an excellent audiophile transfer.

My first experience with Eine Alpensinfonie. Very engaging and loud. The way I enjoy classical music most. Excellent sound engineering using the original masters from 1980. Recommended

A fine performance of an energetic symphony. Sounds exceptional to my ears with a very wide dynamic range. Super silent passages bring lively crescendos. Kudos to sound engineers. Recommended

The sound of Mullova is very pure and elegant. The orchestra work was conducted by Abbado, what a great combination.

Outstanding piece of DG and Karajan. The orchestra work was written by Ravel and this year is his 150th anniversary.

The sound of these SACDs reproduces the content of the original tapes almost unaltered and in full. The gain in depth, spatiality, and undistorted reproduction of both high and low frequency ranges, however, also results in a slight tape noise in the background, which is not disturbing. I find it to be a successful remastering that consistently transfers the full potential of the original tapes onto the SACD without altering the sound through excessive and unnecessary post-processing.

This newly remastered SACD restores and reveals the original dynamic range of Karajan's Bruckner 9 from 1966 probably for the first time.

These late Japanese live recordings are highly recommended for all Bruckner enthusiasts not only because of the unique, superlative and immersive sound, but also because of the sheer intensity and passion of the music making. This is an album for the desert island, hands down.
