Description

[Machine Translation] After 10 years of postwar growth, Japan entered a period of "high economic growth" that lasted about 20 years from around 1955 to 1973. During these 20 years, the economic growth rate averaged nearly 10% per year due to the development of heavy and chemical industries, expansion of domestic demand, and growth of exports, and the country quickly moved from a developing country to a developed country. During this period of rapid economic growth, the lives of Japanese people changed dramatically. What was the life of Showa people like during the period of rapid economic growth in the 1950s and 1960s? What were the nostalgic streets and shopping arcades of the Showa era? We will look back on these events in this film.
