GACKT主演! 沖縄の大自然を舞台に描かれた美しい男女の愛の物語。ヒロインの真海役にはオーディションで選ばれた元新体操選手で新人の木村涼香が演じる! 主人公と少女の宿命の出会いを、神々しい八重山の風景と共に描写。メガホンを取るのは、ライフスタイルプロデューサーとしても活躍する『さかなかみ/SAKANAKAMI』の浜野安宏。 ――世界を舞台に活躍する写真家の大山光(GACKT)は、よく引き締まった身体、優しい面影をもつ美しい男である。東京での華やかな暮らしに不在感を感じていた中、ある日、救いを求めて沖縄を訪れる。そこで、澄み切ったイノー(サンゴ礁の浅瀬)から出現した美しい姿態の美少女・石垣真海と出逢い、すぐにいなくなってしまった彼女を探し歩く。大山は、「カーラヌカン」という不思議な祈りの声に誘われ「ニライカナイ海の火祭り」で、真海を見つける。そして、三日月の夜に"写真を撮らせて欲しい"と説得し、八重山地方を背景に、真海を撮影していた。突然、強い太陽光線が大山を突き刺し、目の前が真っ白になる。気がつくと真海が忽然と消えてしまっていた。美少女はまるで光に吸い込まれるように消えてしまったのだ。大山は琉球から綿々と続く自然信仰の力に押し流されて、訳のわからないまま八重山の奥深くで消えた少女を探し続けてしまう・・・。
