Gatchaman Fighter is the darkest & most space oriented of the 3 series-takes us out of the seventies into 1980 tidying up loose ends left over from Gatchaman II:such as what happened to Leader X?, & can Joe get recharged and back into the fight without Dr. Raphael? Though the series attempt at an epic scale coupled with the main plot device the new transformer-like ship the GatchaSpartan whose main weapon the Hypershoot(the No.1 ship sepates acting like a magic carpet with Ken on top slicing mecha with the GatchaFencer) may get a little tedious at times it still has many must view surprises:the Ken/Jun relationship, a return to B.C. Island for Joe,the team turned into assassins,Ken's health problems,Dr. Nambu's story arc even the new Galactor villain Count Egobossler has problems plus a few light moments such as the team disguised as a hippie rock band.No english subtitles, 9 disks-bonuses extra drawings etc.two booklets. Overall very pleased...

Excellent conclusion to one of the most exciting ANIME sagas ever! Due to its realistic storyline and design, Gatchaman F is highly enjoyable across the board - a real must, especially for those who were kids in the 70's.
