For me this is the best Rickie Lee Jones album and this unique remaster made by Warner Bros. Japan sounds incredibly fine. NO other version sounds so good, even the MFSL redbook layer (from the hybrid SACD) loses clarity and body compared to this one. There is compression but the engineer took care to increase the signal to the limit until the clip/distortion. I guess this is a common feature to other titles from "Forever Young" 2008/2006, as Donald Fagen "The Nightfly" (WPCR-75172) share the same improves over the standard US version. Buy before it became sold out.

I've always loved this music but the sound quality of all previous CDs was terrible and difficult to listen to, so edgy and brittle they made the ears bleed. Well this new re-master is the best this music has sounded since vinyl LP days. With richer sound, especially in the highs, it's definitely a huge improvement. IMO: Re-masters don't always sound better but this one sounds great. Whoever did this re-master did an excellent job. Congratulations!!!
