I agree with reviewer RJ. This re-mastered cd sounds a lot better than the ordinary cd (Warner Bros. 7599-27389-2). The transparency is better, there is more air and space around the individual instruments/voices. The treble is softer without loss of transients or attack on drums, timbales etc. Bass sounds more defined and cleaner. And the music: Still great, IMO the best from Rickie Lee Jones. PS: One strange thing: The right and left channel is reversed on the re-mastered version compared to both the vinyl and ordinary cd!?! Someone should have discovered this during the re-mastering process!

I've always loved this music but the sound quality of all previous CDs was terrible and difficult to listen to, so edgy and brittle they made the ears bleed. Well this new re-master is the best this music has sounded since vinyl LP days. With richer sound, especially in the highs, it's definitely a huge improvement. IMO: Re-masters don't always sound better but this one sounds great. Whoever did this re-master did an excellent job. Congratulations!!!
