1994年11月8日・9日、サンフランシスコのフィルモアで、エリック・クラプトンがこよなく愛するブルース楽曲をプレイしたライヴがアルバムと映像で遂にリリース! CDアルバムにはグラミー賞を受賞したブルース・アルバム『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』のツアーで録音された17曲の未発表ライヴ音源を収録。本作の要は、クラプトンによるブルース・スタンダードのパフォーマンスと、あまり知られていない貴重なブルース・ソング。"フロム・ザ・クレイドル"ツアー中に、サンフランシスコのフィルモアで行われた2晩 (1994年11月8日・9日)のパフォーマンスが撮影、録音され、その中で選りすぐりの演奏が収録されている。また、長きにクラプトンを支える共同プロデューサー、サイモン・クライミーが、マルチ・トラッキング収録によるオリジナル・パフォーマンス音源のリミックスを手掛けている。『ナッシング・バット・ザ・ブルース』収録の未発表ライヴ音源は、スタジオでレコーディングされた『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』をお互いに助け合う相棒のような存在。両作品に収録の楽曲もあるが (「マザーレス・チャイルド」「スタンディン・ラウンド・クライング」「アイム・トア・ダウン」)、それぞれのパフォーマンスは全く異なる。『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』未収録で本作に収録となる楽曲は、ジミー・ロジャーズの「ブルース・オール・デイ・ロング」、ロバート・ジョンソンの「モルテッド・ミルク・ブルース」や、「エヴリデイ・アイ・ハヴ・ザ・ブルース」、「フォーティ・フォー」などのスタンダード・ナンバーが含まれる。 ※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
