[City Pop SACD Hybrid Series, Vol. 3] A masterpiece of City Pop that Warner takes pride in becomes an SACD Hybrid! AB'S's second album, released in 1984, arrives in the long-awaited SACD Hybrid format! Following the previous work, the members are Fujimaru Yoshino (SHOGUN), Makoto Matsushita, Yoshihiko Ando (PARACHUTE), Naoki Watanabe (SPECTRUM), and Atsuo Okamoto (SPECTRUM), the strongest lineup supporting the Japanese music scene. This work was recorded entirely in London. Under that influence, its progressive-to-fusion color grew stronger while its presence as city pop increased even further, making it a masterpiece. From the single-cut "Japanese Punkish Girl," to the overwhelming momentum of the opening track "Destination," the fan-favorite "Correspondence," and the closing "Do You Remember Me?" with Fujimaru Yoshino's style in full force, the album's sense of unity is exceptional! Furthermore, as bonus tracks, it specially includes two songs unearthed from the multitrack tapes in 2022: the precious previously unreleased "Hitomi wa Monologue," the last from Makoto Matsushita's time in the band, and "Morning Dew (Single Edit)." The finest masterpiece is vividly revived at the highest quality.
