As usual Ryuichi delivers a marvelous work of disarming simplicity and minimalism. This is an absolute must buy. Why? because "the professor" this time too (as in the precedent work "/04") re-elaborate his already beautiful themes to transform them in new and more beautiful re-intrepretations. Few artists are capable of such a sensibility in their music. Sakamoto's new renditions of his themes are never the same. In this new album He has an incredible capacity of synthesize his songs that astound me. So minimal, almost stripped versions, but so compelling! For instance "A flower is not a flower" is even more delicate and glum that the original version, or "Amore", so soft and sweet as only the piano can do. But all tracks deserve your attention and passion. Therefore the only advice I can give you is to absolutely buy this cd...if you love music and deep emotions. Did you like /04? Then without doubt you will love /05. I can't really wait for /06!!!
