Broadcast on NHK channel from January to March 2020, and the main character Midori Asakusa was played by actress Sairi Ito. It has been highly acclaimed once again, winning the Grand Prize in the Animation Division of the 24th (2021) Japan Media Arts Festival, the Tokyo Anime Award 2021, the New York Times Best TV Program, and various other awards in Japan and abroad. The original story by Sumi Owara was produced by Warner Bros. Japan, directed by Masaaki Yuasa, and animated by Science SARU. Contains 12 episodes.
