DVD第2巻。 ――アランダス連合王国とインゲルミア諸国統合体。長きに渡る二国間の戦争は、アランダス建国以来の不抜の城塞、グレート・ウォールを挟んで膠着していた。しかし、固く閉ざされていたはずの砦の門が音を立てて開かれ、戦況は大きく動き始める。アランダス東方山地の隠し砦に駐屯する独立第八部隊。そこには初陣を控えた新兵、ススム・トキムネの姿があった。命令に従い、サモンジ・ウキョウ中尉の指揮の下、本隊と合流すべく移動を始めた彼らは、民間人を襲撃するインゲルミア軍と遭遇する。罠の可能性を顧みず先行したトキムネは、トレーラーに乗っていた技師、ジェイミー・ハザフォード、そして白銀のトレイルクリーガー・アルジェヴォルンと運命の出会いを果たす。戦うことが当たり前となった世界の片隅で起きた出会い。この小さな偶然は、トキムネたち独立第八部隊の未来を変えると同時に、戦局に大きな影響を与えることになる・・・。 第4話～第6話収録。
