[Vol.1 Canterbury Scene～Soft Machine] 第1回リリースはブリティッシュ・ロック・シーンの中でもジャズに影響された独特な進化を遂げたバンドを数多く輩出したカンタベリー。その中核バンドであるソフト・マシーンとその現在進行形であるソフトマシーン・レガシー、そしてここ数年急逝した2人の中心メンバーのラスト・ソロ・アルバムをリリース。紙ジャケット仕様。――ソフト・マシーン関連の重鎮ベーシスト、ヒュー・ホッパー。ソフト・マシーン・レガシーの活動と並行してソロ・アルバムを数多く制作してきたが、久々に個人名義の作品をクワイアット・サン～ランダム・ホールドのチャールス・ヘイワード、そしてカンタベリー人脈の若手ミュージシャンとコラシアムのジョン・ハイズマンのスタジオで制作した意欲作。しかし。このアルバム制作後急逝する・・・ ラスト・アルバムとは思えない力作。
